Update– August, 2009.

Not much new has happened since January. Things have settled down into a routine in Rochester. My parents have returned to Saint Paul from China. I’m busy with work, which is good. I guess the news with work is that in addition to publishing a few things, I will be part of 2 presentations at the American Society of Bioethics and Humanities meeting, 1 presentation at the American Association for the Advancement of Science meeting, and I’ll have a poster at the American Society of Human Genetics meeting in Hawaii… yeah!

In other personal news I’ve gotten really into triathlon training and competition. It’s something I really enjoy. I did my first one early July, and did much better than I anticipated. So now I’m spending probably too much money and time on it, but… it’s satisfying, especially for someone who couldn’t run a mile in high school and most of college. Results from my first two triathlons and one triathlon relay. Pretty happy about the improvement between my first and second race.
