The UofM Water Polo Club is composed of both a men's and women's teams and competes throughout the Midwest. The teams practice together and compete in men's, women's and coed tournaments throughout the school year. Practice is held at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center three times a week. The team is coached by Tom Alcivar, an alumnus of the program and a dedicated and enthusiatic coach.
No prior water polo experience is necessary to join the club. We encourage all interested players to give the club a try. All you will need is a swim suit and we will do the rest. Many of our players have no prior water polo experience, however, we have developed them into all-conference, and all-american athletes.
