information about the club

The University of Minnesota women’s club hockey team is a great way to continue to play hockey after high school at a competitive level. We have two teams; one in the ACHA league and one in the WHAM league. The club is open to all full-time University students. Both teams practice at Mariuccia Arena.

ACHA

This team plays in the ACHA hockey league against teams from all over the country, but primarily teams from the Midwest. Some of those teams are Wisconsin-Madison, St. Cloud State University, and Michigan University. They also play national powers Robert-Morris College and Lindenwood University. This team has a large time commitment and practices 2-3 evenings per week. During the season, they take some road trips in order to play other teams.

WHAM

This team plays in the local WHAM league. The team practices once a week and play locally against other women’s teams in the metro area.

We have a lot of fun and are always looking for new talent. If you are interested in playing or have any questions, contact the club at wohkyclb@umn.edu.
