The benefits to becoming a member of Women in Business are almost endless. Members can attend speaker meetings at Carlson with free lunch on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month. Members are also eligible to attend formal networking events, participate in WIB social and volunteer events, network with other students of all majors in WIB, and make great friends! WIB is extremely involved in life at Carlson so anyone interested in getting involved should join.

Women in Business is open to all students, staff, and faculty at the University of Minnesota, regardless of major or sex. In the business world we will be working in teams with people from all walks of life and WIB will help students, staff, and faculty learn from and support one another by facilitating numerous events.

Women in Business has a membership fee of $25.00. A membership lasts for the current academic year. Membership is available at a reduced cost of $20.00 if paid by October 1. Prospective members are welcome to attend two regular Women in Business speaker meetings, and meet current WIB members and Executive Board members before committing to the organization. A membership drive begins early in the school year with our annual Women in Business Kickoff events (free to everyone) and continues throughout the entire school year.

There are many different ways to get involved with Women in Business. Besides going to meetings, attending upcoming social, volunteer, and networking events, there are many opportunities to join committees for special events.
