Mission
UPCC strives to protect reproductive freedoms through education and action within the U of M community. Developing awareness about safe-sex practices, birth control, emergency contraception, and abortion will allow you to make an informed decision about your reproductive rights.
What is Pro-Choice?
“Pro-choice describes the political and ethical view that a woman should have complete control over her fertility and pregnancy. This entails the guarantee of reproductive rights, which includes access to sexual education; access to safe and legal abortion, contraception, and fertility treatments; and legal protection from forced abortion.”
Pro-choice does not mean pro-abortion! UPCC, like many pro-choice groups, advocates sex education, family planning, and fair, affordable contraception programs as a way to avoid unintended pregnancy in the first place.
Meetings
UPCC meets from 5:00pm to 6:00pm in Coffman Memorial Union room 226G-4 for the Spring 2011 semester.
