Team Happenings

Hey Everybody -

So the school year is in swing again and that means the team has been very busy.

We signed up for "Paint the Bridge" and actually did it, for the first time I can remember. Check out our one panel - it is right outside one of the doors on the west bank side; perhaps not the prettiest picture, but hey, at least we did it this year.

Our team is gonna be out at both of the Student Activities Fairs this year again (set for the 18th, 19th), at both the St. Paul and Minneapolis campuses. If you know us, come say hi, and if you're interested, come bombard us with questions.

For all the new riders, and everyone who maybe is interested in the team but hasn't actually done anything yet, we are going to have an informational team meeting the week of Oct. 1-5. Watch the website for an exact date once it gets figured out. We'll just lay out the basic structure of the team, what happens during a typical year, and answer questions of course. You will also be able to join the team at this team if you'd wish.

Training rides are leaving campus probably 5-10 times a week now. There are three scheduled weekly rides (check the calendar) and many more impromptu rides (check the "training" section of our forum on the website). Yeah, the weather is getting colder, and some people are starting to wind down their riding, but this is still a good way to get out, meet other team members, and get a break from school work.

Our home event for the mountain season is fast approaching (Oct. 6-7) and hopefully will be a major success, thanks in most part to the efforts of our very own Andy Rosch. So if he asks you to help, help. And if not, at least come out and watch our races that weekend.

Finally, congrats go out to our very own Elena Dorr, who at this very moment is in San Diego competing in Collegiate Track Nationals!! Yesterday was day one of the competition, and the racing continues today. Follow the event here:
