U of M Top Ten in Men's Kilo
The men's kilometer time trial final was held tonight at elite track nationals. Ben R rode into 9th place with an improvable time of 1:10.772min. With perfect conditions, mild temperatures and no wind, the times were surprisingly slow all around, why that was isn’t clear. The Superdrome is a slightly slower track than our own NSC Velodrome, though.
Tomorrow morning will be the points race qualification, which shouldn’t be too much of a problem, as there are two heats with 17 riders each. Top 12 in each heat will qualify for the points race final tomorrow night.
