The tournament, held in Cooke Hall of U of MN Recreaction Center on April 11, was a great success, thanks to the strong support and participations by more than 60 players and their families and friends. A total of 68 matches were played. We were amazed by the enthusiasms, skills, and sportsmanship exhibited by all players. We specially thank TCBC and MVBC for their cooperation and support. 2005 Fall Tournament
UBC plans to hold its second tournament in the fall semester (October and November)
of 2005 in Cooke Hall 325. This tournament would take a different format than the
spring tournament. We plan to have players organize their own teams, and the teams
will compete against each other. Each team should be able to play all the five
types of games, men's singles and doubles, women's singles and doubles, and mixed
doubles. The competition will take the Sudirman Cup format. Suggestions and
comments on the tournament are welcome.
2005 Spring Tournament
The exciting tournament sponsored by University Badminton Club and Friendship
Association of Chinese Students and Scholars (FACSS) came to an end on May 1 2005.
Congratulations to everyone who was involved either as a player, an officer,
or a spectator. Click to view the results.
