THE PINHEIROS OF NEVIS AND BARBADOS

While many of the families of the Nevis Jewish community had relatively brief sojourns on the island, the Pinheiro family maintained their ties to Nevis for nearly one hundred and fifty years. During this period numerous references to the family's landholdings and activities are scattered throughout the public records. Using these documents, and the recorded burials of the Barbados Jewish community, the following family tree was constructed. (Please note that the structure of the tree does not necessarily reflect the birth order of the children)
