IMPORTANT: SWE CAREER FAIR DIRECTORS NEEDED!

I am in desperate need of help with SWE's fall Career Fair. This is a great opportunity for you to help SWE out with the biggest event we have and to be in contact with company representatives.  Basically, it's a great networking opportunity.  In the past we have only needed two other directors, but with the Career Fair getting bigger every year, there are a lot more things to do.  So, I'm looking for three more people to help me out.
Since the career fair takes place early in the fall semester, a majority of the planning must be done during the summer. Taking on any of the positions will require that you are near campus during the summer so that you will be available for meetings as well as other ppointments that will vary with each position.

Here are the three positions available:

  Career Fair Assistant Responsibilities:
  -updating spreadsheet of company contacts
  -setting up invitations
  -make company check in binders
  -other tasks as assigned

Career Fair Secretary Responsibilities:
-responding to voice messages left on the phone in the SWE lounge (check at least twice a week if not more, calls come in every day)
-responding to e-mails on the career fair account (as the head coordinator, I will also be doing this)
-basically staying in contact with the company representatives
  -other tasks as assigned

 Treasurer Responsibilities:
-checking mailbox weekly (especially later in the summer when checks start coming in)
 -depositing checks in account
 -tracking finances in a spreadsheet
  -other tasks as assigned

 Group Responsibilities:
-sending out invitations (late May-early June)
  -buying supplies
-other various tasks that will be assigned as needed

We will also be working closely with individuals from HKN, who will be in charge of ordering the programs, publicity, the website, and contacts with Coffman Union.

Please email me the following if you are interested.  I would appreciate it if you can do this by the end of this weekend or by early next week:

 -Which position you would prefer
-A short paragraph describing why you think you deserve to have the specified position (include leadership, organizational skills as well as your past SWE involvement)
 -Your availability this summer

Thank you for your interest!

Please contact Chini (manda014@umn.edu) with any
questions you have!
