Below are some pictures from the 5K Run For Research 2005! Over 360 runners participated and over $5,000 was raised for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to aid research for a cure for the disease. In 2006, over 450 runners raised $7,000 for the Research.

University of Minnesota Vice Provost for Student Affairs Jerry Rinehart waits at the front of the pack for the race to start. Jerry donated $1 for every runner who beat him in the race. He donated a total of $305 to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation!

Runners line up to register for the race prior to the event. While pre-registration is encouraged, runners are more than welcome to register right up to the start of the race.

Thank You to all involved who made the First and Second Annual 5K Run For Research a reality.
One hundred percent of the contributions from the runners went directly to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to assist their effort in researching for a cure for Cystic Fibrosis.
