Our Knudson family came from Sogn og Fjordane county in Norway. The ancestors of the first American Knudsons, Erick and Gjertrud, were farmers. The records of their births and marriages can be found back to the mid-1700s.

Our Wold family came from the Trondheim area of Norway.  Their ancestors lived in Sør-Trøndelag county.  They were mostly farmers, but some in previous generations had been ministers.
