GENERAL INFORMATION
The 50th Annual Institute on Lake Superior Geology (ILSG) will be held on Tuesday, May 4 to Sunday, May 9, 2004 at the Radisson Hotel, Duluth, MN.  A two-day technical session will be held between pre- and post-meeting field trips. In conjunction with ILSG’s 50th anniversary meeting, the UMD Department of  Geological Sciences will be holding its 50th anniversary meeting.  There will be a  special opening session on The History of Geologic Investigations in the Lake Superior Region.  For travel information visit http://www.visitduluth.com/

Registration Fees:
Professional $95.00 Student $40.00
Meeting Registration is required for all field trips.  The Radisson Hotel in Duluth has graciously extended the reduced rate ($59.00) reservation cut-off date to Sunday April 25th 2004, (218) 727-8981.

Note: Meeting registration is required for all field trips. 

IMPORTANT: There will be a cut-off for registration for Trip 1, VMS, of April 20th; and a cut-off for registration is April 24th for Trip 5, Classic Outcrops. This is so that we can get the correct number of rooms reserved at Fortune Bay on Lake Vermillion. Note that ILSG is the same weekend as the Minnesota fishing opener and we face some competition for hotel space on the Classics trip.
