The idea for 7 Days was born in the Summer of 2003 when Anthony Brown and Brienne Foyt, both coming from single sex a cappella groups, decided that the University of Minnesota's A cappella scene needed a new coed group. The U of M was the last Big Ten School to have an A cappella group, so the two of them decided that they would form a group that would focus on singing R & B and pop songs. The name 7 Days was dreamt up…literally by Anthony, and they both knew it would be effective in drawing people in. The two of them worked tirelessly getting the word out putting up fliers all over campus and e-mailing everyone they knew that may be interested. The turn out was phenomenal! There were over 60 people that auditioned and 18 were chosen to become the charter members of 7 Days, the University of Minnesota's first and only student-led A cappella group. However, the members of 7 Days would eventually help launch an all women's group, The Enchantments, in the spring of 2006. 7 Days is still going strong today and the dream of two enthusiastic students who love to sing lives on.
