About Us:

7 Days is the University of Minnesota's first and only co-ed a cappella ensemble. Created in 2003 by Anthony L. Brown and Brienne Foyt, 7 Days began as an opportunity for a diverse group of students to come together and bond over their love for music and performance.

7 Days has performed their original arrangements of classic and contemporary pop songs at countless venues and events around the Twin Cities including the Varsity Theater, Ted Mann Concert Hall, The Ordway Center for Performing Arts, The Mall of America, Coffman Theater, The Whole Music Club, Mr. Superblock, New Student Convocation, and many others.

In addition to our performances around the area, 7 Days has traveled to the International Championship of Collegiate a Cappella since 2005. After a first outing to Illinois, 7 Days traveled to Michigan State University in 2006 and were one of only four award winning groups in their quarterfinal- 7 Days' own Andrew Berkowitz took home the prize for "Best Vocal Percussionist." And in 2008, 7 Days made their strongest showing to date, taking home several awards and moving on to ICCA Semifinals!

Our annual Spring Concert is always an exciting capstone to our year. The first three concerts, held at Ted Mann Concert Hall, were an extraordinary success. In April 2007, 7 Days made their debut at the historic Varsity Theater, nearly filling the venue for two exciting shows.

After Clinching a spot in the ICCA 2008 Semifinals as well as the awards for Best Soloist and Best VP, 7 Days is not slowing down and is looking forward to its best year yet as they continue to get better and work to release their highly anticipated album in the Spring of 2009.7 Days' mission is to be a musical outlet for students ranging from various ages, races, backgrounds and majors. With the diversity of our members and music, we consistently strive to reach the broadest audience possible. Because collegiate a cappella is less prominent Minnesota than in other U.S. regions, 7 Days hopes to spread our music and our message to as wide an audience as possible and generate support for a cappella music in Minnesota.
