Brief Description:
Since 1994, "Sex Talks and Blow Pops" has been SHADE's most popular workshop. For the 2002-2003 school year, SHADE is taking ST & BP, adding a few elements from other workshops and will be offering one standard workshop.

The centerpiece of "Sex Talks and Blow Pops" is a video we discovered in 1995 called "Sex : A Guide for the Young" - an animated sex education video designed for Danish middle and high school students. It's like no sex ed video you'll ever see in an American high school. Hilarious yet factually accurate, this video is a great conversation starter for discussions about positive healthy sexuality.

SHADE has pre-printed posters that we can send to help publicize "Sex Talks and Blow Pops." Request This Program

Brief Description:
Picture a main TV lounge filled with residents watching the following videos: 1) The aforementioned "Sex : A Guide for the Young"; 2) The South Park episode "Proper Condom Usage" (very outrageous as you'd expect, but a great conversation starter for  serious discussions); and 3) "Sex Hygiene Scare Films" - a compendium of sex ed films from the 30s, 40s 50s and 60s. Sounds like fun, doesn't it? In between each video, a SHADE member could lead a discussion or we could provide a list of discussion questions for the program requester to use.

Brief Description:
Have a specific topic in mind? Work with a SHADE Coordinator to custom design a fun and informational program for your group. A SHADE Coordinator will research and facilitate a discussion/workshop to discuss any topic related to sexual health. Since our Coordinators will have to research and prepare, we suggest contacting SHADE at least 2 weeks before the requested date for the program.
