For the past few weeks, our bodywork subteam has been working on the fabrication of the seat for the 2012 vehicle. The teams' enthusiasm towards the composites work is quite exciting. We would like to extend our thanks to two of our sponsors, Express Composites for the carbon fiber sponsorship, as well as American Pattern for CNC-machining the seat mold. While some complications arose during the first laying process, these challenges presented excellent learning opportunities for the team. This knowledge will come into use as the bodywork subteam adjusts their focus on laying and molding the carbon fiber shear panels and bodywork. On a seperate note, the new Hoosier slick and rain tires arrived. These will be mounted to the wheels in the upcoming weeks.
