Robert and Pat's 2011 Scandinavia vacation

A canal boat ride our first night in Copenhagen
Rosenborg Castle in Copenhagen--now a museum
Evening at Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen--the Japanese pavilion

The chapel at Fredericksborg Castle a few miles outside of Copenhagen--Pat and I wandered around this rococo chapel amazed at the decoration.

Part of the Fjord day-trip we took from Bergen--first rail, then bus, then ferry, then incline railway and then rail back to Bergen. This was from the ferry.
This was the fjiord trip from the bus--we were high up and then rode down to the flat land and on to the ferry slip.

In Stockholm with Pat's relatives--the old man pouring coffee is her Mom's 2nd cousin--his wife in the center, and their son-in-law and grandchild on the lap. This was in the young couple's home.

Pat and Robert in Stockholm.
Church and gardens in Stockholm on the way to Gamla Stan, the old town, on an island.

Drottingholm Palace several miles outside of Stockholm. A beautiful site, gardens in the back, and beautiful interiors.
The golden pavilion inside Stockholm City Hall. There is a reception for Nobel Prize winners in this space (all decorated with tiny tiles), and to the left is the exit to the grand staircase where the winners and their family members walk down to the courtyard for the Nobel Prize dinner.
