One of the most famous Minnesota Railroads... Slowly fading to its new CN owners it was legendary all the way to its last day in early May 2004...

The orange boxes found on the trucks below the cab of many locos are Fred Beds - places to leave un-used Fred/EOT devices so crews don't have to lug them into the cabs... Andy Inserra photos


Missabe units can often been seen on BNSF paying back horsepower hours - here is a SD45T-2 doign that on Sept 5 2004 seen laying over at Northtown Yard in Mpls by Scott Kotnour

Dave Schauer took this photo of their test cars in their variety of paint schemes...



The track cleaner! We have no idea how it works [magnetic?] but somehow it pulls loose tac pellets up along the right of way and loads them into the side dump car it pulls with it. Seen on Nov 21 2004 - Dave Schauer photo
