Orienting to WebCT Vista: Teaching on the Web for the First Time
|
This workshop—jointly presented with Paul Baepler of the Center for Teaching and Learning Services—is intended for instructors who have never used WebCT Vista, the University of Minnesota's course management system. The workshop's purpose is twofold: 1) to introduce faculty and graduate students to WebCT Vista and its capabilities, and 2) to provide them with a starting point for developing a WebCT Vista course site. This is not a hands-on workshop; rather, it is an overview of WebCT tools with considerable discussion of how to implement and manage them within a variety of courses. For more information on WebCT Vista—including setup instructions, design handouts, and troubleshooting guides—see the university's WebCT Vista home page.
