Using E-Portfolios: Assignments, Assessments, and Implementation
|
Electronic portfolios are collections of student work distributed in digital format. They can be used as the basis for classroom assignments, assessments, and as catalysts for student reflection. As their potential for creating student-centered classrooms is realized, e-portfolios are becoming more widely used in higher education. This presentation introduces the concept of electronic portfolios and explores how they can be leveraged to improve student learning. Discussions focus on creating portfolio-based assignments, assessing student e-portfolios, and exploring the technical and practical issues of using electronic portfolios in the university classroom.
