AN EDUCATION MODEL FOR CLINICAL YEAR STUDENTS

To prepare its graduates for diverse career pathways, the College has the unique challenge of educating its students in the biology and pathobiology of multiple animal species in both breadth and depth across multiple disciplines in a four year curriculum. A successful clinical teaching / learning model should emphasize the multiple learning formats and content that are needed by veterinary students who choose clinical careers. - Robert Washabau, Chair Veterinary Clinical Sciences, University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine, 2008.
