Professional Experience

Conducted thousands of small group sessions on decision-making, nominal process and focus group interviewing since 1967.

Developed and taught 300+ inservice courses relating to program evaluation and focus group interviewing for professionals since 1981. This includes courses for public employees, university faculty, architects, nutritionists, physicians, interior designers, public health workers, religious leaders and others.

Taught 50+ graduate level credit courses since 1983. This includes courses in focus group interviewing, program evaluation, evaluation methodology, analysis of research, quantitative methodology, interviewing and observation methods.

Consulting:

Served as a consultant to federal agencies (HHS, GAO, USDA, GSA, OPM, BLM, Postal Service); state agencies (Departments of Education, Public Health, Natural Resources, Pollution Control, Agriculture); educational organizations (Colleges and University Systems, Public Schools); foundations (Kellogg, Blanden, McKnight, Hazelden, Minneapolis); communities (Rochester, St. Paul, Falcon Heights) non-profit organizations (United Way, AAL, USAA, Health Advancement Inc.).
