Hip-Hop Workshops: An essential part of bridging theory with practice is experiencing the difference between learning to do hip-hop and learning about hip-hop. You are required to assist ONE of five workshops offered in aerosol/graffiti art, beat boxing, break dancing, lyricism, and turntablism. Workshop leaders are well-known local hip-hop icons. Your grade for this participation will be reflected in your workshop reaction paper (worth 15% of your overall grade). Your reaction paper should focus on the relationship between the study of hip-hop and the performative action of producing one of the elements of hip-hop.
