We will be asking you to create your own webquest using Filamentality, a program that provides you with a template for simply putting in the information you need. |
Before you do that, we will provide you with an example of one webquest developed by Kathleen Pimlott of Blaine High School for this course for her final project in CI5472. This webquest involved two tasks. The first one is identifying various quotes from the novel and then the second one is a choice between three possibilities. The students read Fahrenheit 451 as a satire that comments on certain aspects of our society. The webquest provides links to sites that investigate several issues that arise in the novel and has the student analyze the data and make recommendations. It then provides links for the students to contact people in the real world that are interested in the topic they have chosen. |
Your own webquest developed for this module does not need to be at all as elaborate or developed as her webquest, but studying it will help you think about what you might do for your webquest. The different sections of her webquests are those provided in the Filamentality template. |
