U of M Pakistani Students Association

The Pakistani Students Association (PSA) at the University of Minnesota is an organization that coordinates educational and social activities, which promote cross cultural understanding and international awareness. At The U of M, PSA provides the campus community and our student body with activities, programs, and opportunities to meet others. PSA believes that its student body's education cannot be complete without co-curricular experiences to compliment their in-class learning.

PSA is committed to expanding its horizons by engaging in active participation in the Pakistani Community. In this regard, acquiring the support of our community is of fundamental importance for us. PSA intends to diversify its membership by reaching out to various community and familiarizing them with the organization and its goals and objectives. At the U, PSA promotes discussion topics on national and international areas of interest amongst its members as well as members of other organizations. PSA provides peer counseling and advising to students. PSA plans and coordinates social and cultural activities with organizations that express interest in working and collaborating with PSA. We participate in community activities outside of the the University of Minnesota. We also arrange special functions to commemorate various Pakistani holidays.

PSA believes that through active participation in an intellectually and cultrually diverse community, students will be better prepared to deal with issues they will face in a rapidly changing, ethnically diverse society. Our perception is to enable our organization to become a respected partner in the Pakistani community.
