Nicaragua

Every summer members of the Pre-Pharmacy Club and other University of Minnesota students travel with a church out of Richfield, MN to Nicaragua to set up a medical clinic, eye clinic, and pharmacy to serve the people of Nicaragua. This volunteer medical mission trip is a wonderful experience where one is helping those less fortunate than ourselves, immersed in a new culture, and all the while learning about pharmacy in a different country. You get a hands on experience which includes: Medication preperation, filling prescriptions, writing instructions, counseling patients, and playing with kids.
