Swedish
So I'm wrapping up my last day of study for my finals and I have a long list of concepts and facts which I don't yet understand completely. As I worked my way through it, I realized that I am reading academic Swedish texts on economics as I would read similar text in English: moving frequently between through-reading and skimming, effortlessly. That was a pleasant realization. Now if I could only write as well in Swedish (and in English) as I read Swedish!

More Chester Worthiness!
I don't mean to lay it on Chester, but I spoke with the duder himself recently. Anyway, I dumpstered a bunk of junk from China that some chinese student threw out. I'll probably throw most of it too, but I reckon that there's bound to be some good "flash back material" for me.

An observation worthy of Chester
Did you know that Sweden has the world's most advanced baby carriages and strollers? Today, I saw a stroller with disk brakes, pneumatic tires and pneumatic shocks. You'd think that one of two of this features would enough, but I guess more power to them; maybe there's some sort of "dynamic economy of scale" being generated now that the stroller, bike and auto industries share a similar platform.

Briefly
1.) If anyone wants to add comments now they'll have to email me to a user name. I'm sorry, but my comments section was being spammed.

2.) I do live in Sweden; yesterday, I saw three men in row pushing strollers.

3.) I have new Swedish visa, so I'll be around for another year.

4.) I have a (difficult) final exam in international economics (in Swedish) in 8 days, so I'm going to be studying at least 10 hours a day. I am going to try to get up early around 7, since this time the exam is in the morning. Thus I want to be accustomed to being awake at this time. Due to this, I might be skypable during the other end of your days' instead.

5.) I will take two tests during the beginning of June. This means that I'm going to be hitting the books even more in May.

6.) I am single on new level, again. I was single before, but with entanglements. Now I'm just doing my thing 100% solo.

7.) I quit my job. I was tired of it and I need to use my sundays for studying. I want to find a new job in June.

What's happening?
About 10 minutes ago, it was super sunny. Most of the snow had melted! I had walked to the university and back with my jacket open early today. I thought during that walk, reflecting upon the truth, now there's more daylight in Sweden than there is Minnesota or China. Just now, I looked out the window only to find huge, really fluffy snow flakes racing past my window angry

I'm a foreigner
There’s nothing like applying to extend my visa that reminds me more that I’m a foreigner. I don’t feel like a foreigner or an american or a swede. I’m neither passing nor staying. I’m present and I’ve got a plan and the place is just some surface I’m sliding across.

Oh... read more about my ongoing project!
