Charles George Goblirsch was born on January 21, 1876 in Lafayette Township, Nicollet County, Minnesota. His parents were Johann Goblirsch and Elizabeth Büchl.

On October 15, 1901 at St. Henry's Catholic Church, Perham, Otter Tail County, Minnesota, Charles married Elizabeth Seifert, daughter of Mathias Seifert and Anna Dürmer. Elizabeth Margaret Seifert was born October 11, 1878 in Preheischen, Kreis Mies, Bohemia.

Before his marriage, Charles taught school in Nicollet and Redwood Counties. In Wadena and Perham, he was a station agent for the railroad. In Perham he owned a gentleman's clothing store with his brother Michael. In Minneapolis he engaged in the wholesale hardware and trucking businesses. Later, he clerked for the Janney, Semple, Hill & Co. and the City Building Inspector's Office.

Charles died November 12, 1946 and was buried in Resurrection Cemetery, Mendota, Dakota County, Minnesota.

Elizabeth died October 9, 1968 and was buried in Resurrection Cemetery, Mendota, Dakota County, Minnesota.

Conduct Rites for Former Nicollet County Resident

Funeral services were held for Charles G. Goblirsch, 70, Minneapolis, who died in a Rochester hospital, Saturday, at the Annunciation Catholic church Minneapolis, Tuesday morning. He had been in failing health or two years.

Mr. Goblirsch was a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Goblirsch, early settlers of Lafayette Township, and was born there Jan. 18, 1876. He was married to Miss Elisabeth Seifert of Perham, Oct. 12, 1902. Mr. Goblirsch attended the Mankato Teachers college and for number of years was a schoolteacher in Nicollet and Redwood Counties. The past 25 years he was a clerk in the building inspector's office in Minneapolis.

Mr. Goblirsch is survived by his widow and eight children, Alphonse, Amor, Paul, Nestor, Carolus, Donald, Mrs. Glen Wright, all of Minneapolis, and Virgil, Washington, D.C.

Two brothers and one sister all survive. They are, Anton Goblirsch and Miss Catherine Goblirsch, New Ulm, and Andrew Goblirsch, Genola. The following from near here attended the funeral services: Mr. and Mrs. Anton Goblirsch, Miss Catherine Goblirsch, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Goblirsch and daughter, Lucille, Mrs. Mary Goblirsch, Mr. and Mrs. Al Martinka, and Miss Mary Goblirsch, New Ulm; John Goblirsch, and son, Alphonse, Mr. and Mrs. Rud Schmidt, Mrs. Joseph Seitz and daughter, Marilyn, Mrs. Catherine Goblirsch, Mrs. Alf. Aschenbrenner, and Mrs. Anna Fruwirth, Lafayette.

Six sons of Mr. Goblirsch were pallbearers at the funeral.

Parish Prayers 8:30 a.m. Friday. Friends may call after 4 p.m. on Friday.
