John Peter Bares died 30 September 1872 and Anna Maria married John Faust, a widower with 12 children. John and Anna Faust moved their family to Pierz, Morrison County, Minnesota in the early 1880s.

Hubert married Agnes Stumpf, daughter of John Stumpf and Anna Margaret Dresen. Agnes was born in 30 April 1865 in Cross Plains, Dane County, Wisconsin. She was the 3rd of 3 children. Her mother died soon after she was born. Her father married Katherine Ploog, a widow with 1 child. John and Katherine moved to Morrison County, Minnesota in 1868. They had 8 children.
Hubert and Agnes Bares owned the Pierz Hotel, restaurant and saloon for many years. They had 7 children.

Funeral For the Deceased Mrs. Agnes Bares
Burial for the deceased Mrs. Agnes Bares whose death occurred at St. Cloud last week Tuesday, was held in St. Joseph’s Catholic church in this village Saturday morning at 10 o’clock. A large number of relatives and friends were present at the burial services. The members of St. Mary’s Society, of which Mrs. Bares was a member, attended the funeral in a body. The floral offerings by relatives and friend were many and beautiful.
Among those present at the funeral from out of town were Hildegard Rassier of Eau Claire, Wis.; Math, Marie and Marceline Rassier of St. Cloud; Mrs. Fred Wicks of Winthrop; Mrs. Adelaide Black and Wm. Blake, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Felix, and Fred Kleber and MIss Betty Kleber of Little Falls and Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Milklesen of Minneapolis.
