Anton J. Goblirsch was born on December 8, 1877 in Lafayette Township, Nicollet County, Minnesota. His parents were Johann Goblirsch and Elizabeth Büchl.

On October 8, 1906 at St. George's Catholic Church, St. George, Nicollet County, Minnesota, Anton married Theresa Brey, daughter of Alois Brey and Anna Altmann. Theresa Brey was born November 18, 1887 in Lafayette Township, Nicollet County, Minnesota.

Anton and Theresa resided on the Goblirsch farm in Lafayette township until 1942, when they retired to 926 North Franklin street, New Ulm.

Death
Anton died June 28, 1950 and was buried in St. George Catholic Cemetery, St. George, Nicollet County, Minnesota.

Theresa died November 15, 1962 and was buried in St. George Catholic Cemetery, St. George, Nicollet County, Minnesota.

Goblirsch Rites Set for Saturday
Anton J. Goblirsch, 72, resident of Lafayette township for many years and of New Ulm since 1942, died suddenly Wednesday morning at the home 926 North Franklin street of a heart stroke, as was announced in Wednesday's Daily Journal. Mr. Goblirsch had been failing since in February.

Funeral services will be held in Holy Trinity Catholic church Saturday at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in the St. George Catholic cemetery. The body will be at the Goblirsch home Friday afternoon and until the time of the funeral. Prayer hour will be at 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Friday. Deceased was a member of St. Benedict society and the Forester court for many years. Members of the St. Benedict society will attend prayer at 7:30 p.m. and the Foresters at 8:30 p.m.

ANTON J. Goblirsch was born in Lafayette township Dec. 8, 1877. He grew to manhood there and was married to Theresa Brey in the St. George Catholic church, Oct. 8, 1906. They resided on the Goblirsch farm in Lafayette township until 1942, when they retired and came to New Ulm and have since resided at 926 North Franklin street.

Mr. Goblirsch is survived by his wife and the following children: Mrs. Alfred Aschenbrenner, Bernadotte township; Anton Goblirsch, Jr., Lafayette township; Mrs. Anton Hoerner, Rochester; Mrs. John Regner, Winthrop and Paul Goblirsch, Lafayette township. There are 17 grandchildren.

One brother, Andrew Goblirsch, Genola, and one sister, Miss Catherine Goblirsch, New Ulm, also survive. Seven brothers preceded Mr. Goblirsch in death.
