Lesson 3 Components
This lesson contains two components: the Vocabulary Review and the Speaking Activity Worksheet.
The Vocabulary Review contains vocabulary words that you’ve encountered in lessons 1 and 2 on word stress. Words are presented in the context of sentences and are paired with waveform and pitch diagrams. You can listen to each word by clicking on the audio icon.
The Speaking Activity Worksheet is a printable version of the Vocabulary Review. Print the worksheet. Then open the Praat tool and practice saying and recording the vocabulary words yourself. Compare the waveform and pitch diagrams that you generate to those on the worksheet which demonstrate correct word stress.
