Voices Merging Poetry Workshops are free and open to the public. Our workshops are facilitated by VM members and sometimes a guest speaker will be invited. The purpose of these workshops is to assist artists with improving their writing by focusing on different aspects of poetry and spoken word such as collaboration, rhyming, imagery, stage presence and expression.
Voices Merging chooses an aspect of poetry or spoken word to focus on, creates a workshop and we invite you to attend. In our workshops we observe, discuss and practice. Observing usually consists of listening and watching a poet/spoken word artists do their piece. The discussion portion is when the workshop attendees think critically, talk about and subjectify what they have just observed. The Practice portion of the workshop is when the attendees apply what they have learned and create. Come check out our workshops and open mics! You will be able to create with some of the twin cities most talented artists in a comfortable environment and best of all its completely FREE FOR EVERYONE!!!
