Pastoral Pleasantries

This was actually our first tape. It was a limited edition of one. It was on a 6" reel to reel tape and the cover was hand painted. We made it to send to a local radio show called "Frothing at the Beaker" (hosted of course by Jerry Modjeski) in '84, before we had met Jerry. We had the odd notion that he might actually play something from it - he did play some pretty far out stuff like Gong and Henry Cow. It turned out he dedicated part of the show to us and played several selections. It contained much of what is now Quasi Quo, but since it was a 90 minute tape we have since edited out the Q.Q. selections and rereleased it as a 45 minute cassette, so naturally it is similar to Quasi Quo
