MISA acts like an umbrella organization for all of the multicultural groups at the University of Minnesota. Our General Assembly is testament to this feat of diverse collaboration to provide the Twin Cities campus with a culturally vibrant presence.

Benefits the members can take advantage of:
- Free usage of our Coffman Room for events
- Financial funding for events - $500 being a guideline
- MISA Room access for board members of the GA
- Logistical (organizing and promoting) support for events
- Promotion of events on our website
Expectations MISA has of our GA members:
- At least one board member from your organization has to attend our GA meetings (2-3 times per semester)
- For support of your events:
- Event should be open to MISA members
- Event should increase international culture awareness or bring diverse backgrounds together
- your organization's involvement with MISA will be considered
- Help promote and attend MISA events
- Attend MISA's student fees presentation in Jan/Feb
- Help provide performances and food in our major Fall semester event, the Feast of Nations (on Nov 21st)
