This is a charcoal drawing traced from a projection of Moses and
Lavinia Day Boucher; probably done to commemorate an anniversary or such. It was water
damaged and I have attempted crudely to repair it electronically. The MN Historical
Society people believe that the drawing was done in the post Civil War era, mainly due to
the medium, their clothing, and the type of frame it was in. Moses died in 1902 in
Ardmore, OK. He was a Confederate soldier in the war and was buried in the Confederate
section of the Cemetary in Ardmore. Lavinia eventually returned to MS and died there in
1918. The original drawing is about 8x10 inches.
