Way to go Beth! 01/28/08 - Lab hosts Dr. Karen Warkentin (Boston University) as the EEB seminar speaker. 08/20/08 - Mark presents recent results in a symposium on the "Sensory Ecology of Anuran Communciation" at the 6th World Congress of Herpetology in Manaus, Brazil. 08/20/08 - Mark and Alejandro present their recent results at the Second International Conference on Acoustic Communication by Animals in Corvallis, OR. 04/07/08 - The online German sciene magazine "spektrumdirekt" features our recent article published in Animal Behaviour entitled "Finding a mate at a cocktail party: Spatial release from masking improves acoustic mate recognition in grey treefrogs". You can check out the publication HERE. 01/04/2008 - Mark is named McKnight Land-Grant Professor. This is an award shared with 12 other assistant professors at the University of Minnesota, including EEB's very own Dr. Mike Wilson, who studies vocal communication and social behavior in chimpanzees. 11/01/07 - Our research on frog hearing and communication is featured in a TV commercial for the University of Minnesota's "Driven to Discover" campaign.
