Positions Available

Postdoctoral Associate

An NIH funded postdoctoral position is available to study molecular and cellular mechanisms of mammalian signal transduction. We are looking for an energetic colleague with keen interest in science and solid background in the areas of either biochemistry, genetics, neuroscience or molecular/cellular biology.  The main research emphasis is expected to be on fundamental mechanisms that govern synthesis, degradation and activity regulation of macromolecular signaling complexes that critically shape vision and behavior. To apply please email your CV and a letter of interest to Dr. Kirill Martemyanov.

About the Lab

The laboratory employs a variety of multidisciplinary approaches spanning from enzyme kinetics and protein-protein interactions to imaging of protein trafficking, mass-spectrometry assisted proteomics as well as development and characterization of knockout/transgenic mouse models.
Research in the lab is supported by funding from two federal NIH institutions:

The laboratory is a part of the Department of Pharmacology which offers an extensive expertise in the fields of drug addiction, neural mechanisms of behavior, electrophysiology, molecular and cellular biology. Located in the heart of the biomedical community on campus in the modern Nils Hasselmo Hall research building, the laboratory is within a short reach from not only state of the art facilities, such as Imaging Facility and Mass-Spectrometry Facility but also large number of research laboratories with diverse expertise in most areas of modern biological sciences.
