Something about yourself: I grew up in Guatemala and moved to Minnesota six years ago (Yes, I
knew it was cold before moving here). I have a broad interest in many of the fields that relate to
healthcare. I am currently working on an independent research project with the help of many people
and a grant from the U Med School. I like to volunteer with children or Emergency rooms (huge contrast).
I like to learn and analyze how everything has come to be. And Yes I do play futbol (soccer). I love my
job as an interpreter, I get to witness many specialties in healthcare and I am involved in the care of
the patient which is a great responsibility.

Something about yourself: I am a laid back, down to earth kind of guy. I am
a freshman with lots to learn, and enjoys working with others. I love to
play sports, basketball in particular. I enjoy volunteering around my

campus such as COG, and HMSA. I am also tutor for children at Brian Coyle.

Something about yourself: I am a senior and am a biology major at the U.
This past summer I had the chance volunteer abroad for a medical trip. It
was a great experience. I have also done some directed research and an
internship, so if you have any questions regarding how to find a project,
site or would like to hear more about getting involved in abroad trips,
feel free to e-mail me. I like to keep busy and am involved in various
organizations. I also enjoy dancing and am constantly listening to music.

Something about yourself: Caroline, from a food perspective...If I am eating at a
Chinese restaurant, you can be 95% certain there will be a plate of cheese
wontons in front of me. If I am at a Korean restaurant, you can be 98%
certain I will be eating BimBimBop (not sure about the spelling there). If
I am at an Italian restaurant, you can be 97% certain that I will ask you
to order more bread... I love to eat and discover new favorites :) Anyways,
I look forward to meeting and working with everyone in MAPS this semester.

Something about yourself: My name is Francisco Maldonado and I am a Junior studying Physiology. I am originally
from Bogotá, Colombia but now reside in the town of Saint Cloud, Minnesota. With my degree in Physiology I
plan to pursue a career in medicine and would love to go into pediatrics, ENT or anesthesiology. In my spare time
I enjoy spending time with friends, meeting new people, talking with family, and playing sports. The people I
admire the most are my parents and two brothers.
