Hi everyone,
Early Merry Christmas! Everything has been wonderful here. Isabel has turned a corner with us, and now treats us as if she has been with us forever. Over the last day and a half she has only cried once or twice, and it was a more of a "I'm hungry" sob -- not the angry screaming that we heard on the first few nights.
She loves baths and giggles the entire time. She also loved the pool. We held her in the water and she kicked and splashed like crazy. She loves water, but I think that she loves anything where most of her clothes are off even more. When you combine the two, she is in heaven.
Izzy is a very happy baby who loves to smile and laugh. She also loves to sing and dance. If you sing to her, she leans back and forth and tries to sing along. In fact, singing to her is what really got us through the first tough days. She also loves to hold hands. Her crib is right next to the bed, and we sleep with one of us holding her hand through the crib bars. She is a very sweet girl, and we can't wait for everyone to meet her.
It hasn't felt much like christmas here because it has been so warm. It has been around 50 degrees here in Changsha, and next week when we go to Guangzhou it should be in the 70s. Oh well, I guess that we will need to suffer here for a few more days while winter rages back home.
