This shot establishes the stadium as the setting where the commercial will take place.

Player, David Beckham

 

 

 

This shot places David Beckham in the stadium setting and establishes him as a main character in the commercial.

Shot 3:

Close-up Shot of Player on T.V.

 

 

 

This shot moves the setting to a specific location inside the stadium where the T.V. is located.

Shot 4:

Close-up Reaction Shot of Boy

 

 

This shot places the boy in the specific setting watching the T.V. and establishes the boy as an additional main character.

Shot 5:

Wide, Two-Shot of Both Boy and Player

 

 

This shot begins a series of wide two-shots and medium shots alternating between the boy and David Beckham.

Shot 6:

Medium Shot of Player

 

During this series David asks the boy for a drink of his Pepsi and the boy gives the can to David and he drinks from it.  This series of shots frames the rising action of the commercial.

Following the main action of David drinking from the can the boy asks David for his shirt, who appears moved by this request.  He complies and gives his shirt to the boy.

Shot 8: 

Close-up of Pepsi Can

 

This shot is both the climax of the commercial and positions the Pepsi can clearly so that it can be recognized by the viewer.  The boy wipes the Pepsi can with David Beckhamıs shirt.  This shot frames the Pepsi can as the item of ultimate importance in the stadium and the climax action supports this visual frame.

Last Shot:

Wide Two-Shot of Both Player and Boy

 

 

 

 

This shot frames the falling action of the commercial in which the boy and David return on their way and the Pepsi logo is placed at the bottom of the screen reminding the viewer that they should choose Pepsi and ³ask for more.²
