Personal Information:

Both raised in New Jersey, my wife and I presently call Minneapolis our home. I am a Ph.D. candidate - A.B.D. in the Industrial/Organizational Psychology Program at the University of Minnesota. (Industrial and organizational psychology sometimes is referred to as organizational psychology or work psychology.) Previously, I was a Ph.D. student in the Industrial-Organizational Division of the University of Illinois' Department of Psychology. After my advisor, Dr. Nathan R. Kuncel, accepted a job offer at Minnesota, my wife and I moved with him. I have a J.D. (law degree) from the University of Pennsylvania Law School , where I served for two years on the editorial board of the Comparative Labor Law Journal. (In 1997, the Comparative Labor Law Journal was moved to the University of Illinois College of Law, was renamed the Comparative Labor Law & Policy Journal, and was replaced by the Journal of Labor and Employment Law. Subsequently, the Journal of Labor and Employment Law was renamed the Journal of Business and Employment Law). I received my B.A. in Government from Cornell University's College of Arts & Sciences, where I was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and graduated with Distinction in All Subjects. Also, I was a Visiting Student at Oxford University's Hertford College, where I read Philosophy, Politics & Economics. I am actively licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania, and I possess inactive law licenses in the District of Columbia and New Jersey.

My research interests include decision-making and methods of combining data to maximize validity, applicant values, and cognitive ability and alternative predictors of work and academic performance.

Among a somewhat large and eclectic mix of personal interests, I enjoy travel, exploration, watching live ice hockey games (both college and pro) and collecting books.

My wife, Karen, is a special education teacher in Minnesota's Richfield School District. She received her B.S. in special education and early childhood education from the University of Hartford. She is certified to teach in Minnesota, New Jersey and Illinois .

Our son turned 2 this year.
