Jointly appointed at the Crookston and St. Paul campuses (residing at UMC).
50% of my Appointment is dedicated to Teaching and 50% to Outreach and Research.

Outreach Objectives

My objective is to develop a targeted outreach program that 1) identifies groups of stakeholders appropriate for my expertise, 2) understands the needs of these stakeholders, and 3) targets programs to them. I hope to have significant stakeholder involvement through workshops, publications, and other outreach products. This approach contrasts with a broad approach seeking to reach a wide range of stakeholders.   If you have a suggestion for a natural resources or wildlife-related issue, submit it here.

Outreach Programs

These are a few examples of the outreach programs that I am involved in.

Wildlife Damage Management

Wildlife Ecologists with extension or outreach appointments, as I have, are often called upon to proved information, education, and strategies to manage humans and wildlife interactions.  Although this is not a focus of my outreach program, below are a number of internet sites I use to develop and recommend solutions to negative human-wildlife interactions.  If you find a site that you believe would be useful to be included below, please let me know.
