For my movie I chose another work related project and created some documentation related to using the Large Format Printer (LFP) services our department provides in the Coffman Union B060 computer lab. From the lab user standpoint this movie may be used as advertising to interest them in the service. It also provides the basic information they need to understand the process. From the lab employee point-of-view, this movie outlines the basic procedures that need to be followed for creating and charging for a large format print. Again, as with my Power Point project, while I have created this movie primarily to present information in the work setting, I can see how it could also be utilized in a school setting. I can see students getting quite excited about organizing and sharing what they have learned in a medium that allows them to incorporate music and voice-overs. The software to create movies, however, is generally less accessible than Power Point, due to software cost and the data storage and/or processor memory requirements.
