Criteria

Class Participation

(20 Points)

  • Contributes consistently to classes and listserv discussions, and comments include information/ideas from the class readings and from relevant personal experience. (20 points)
  • Contributes to the majority of classes, and comments are pertinent to the discussion and reflect reading and thoughtful consideration of materials; responds to, but does not often initiate listserv discussions. (16 points)
  • Contributes to the majority of classes, and comments reflect own ideas not based on related class readings or experience (i.e., “off the top of one’s head”); sporatic listserve participation. (12 points)
  • Contributes to some classes, and comments reflect limited knowledge of issues; no listserv participation. (8 points)
  • Present in class, but does not contribute to class or listserv discussion. (4 points)
  • Spotty attendance; does not contribute to class or listserv discussion. (0 points)

16-17 points = B
10-14 points = C
6-10 points = D
< 6 points = F
