Criteria for Book/Paper Review

  • Key ideas in the book are briefly summarized.

  • General position of the author with respect to instructional technology is identified. Can the person be identified as being part of any identifiable group?

  • Key ideas are contrasted and compared with other persons writing about a similar topic, particularly from the CI5331 class readings.

  • Evaluative judgments are presented so that different perspectives to be clearly identified.

  • Explanation is presented about how the information from the book is (or will be) beneficial to present or future occupations one has or plans on doing.

  • Summary comments are made about the general contribution of the book to advancing your and others' understanding about the potential for instructional technology.
