Welcome to the "Teaching" section of CollegeWriting.info.  This section provides quick access to many of the features meant especially for instructors.  These features offer a variety of online resources, classroom and grading techniques, essays on theory and practice, and general activities.  Other features, such as specific activities and exercises for students, are available directly in each chapter.

The overall Web site, CollegeWriting.info, is a complete composition textbook for college and AP students and professionals who need writing lessons, with all chapters available through the main home page or the "Table of Contents."  Most chapters on specific types of writing include basic and advanced lessons, sample essays, and exercises.   Writing instructors in all fields and disciplines, new or experienced, can find the college-level writing lessons in this textbook practical and useful for their students as a complete textbook or as a supplement.  The pedagogy behind the text emphasizes process, practice, alternative methods of focus, and mastery of organization and audience.  Students also are encouraged to enjoy their writing experiences and to approach them with both serious intent and playful attitude.
