Chapter E6. |
GO TO Online |
Some of the links on this page can take you directly to full-text essays, speeches, works of literature, and other online readings. Other links below can take you to additional lists of links, many of them quite long. Almost all of the links on this page are located at universities, colleges, and textbook publishers.
To find a specific author or title, go to a metasearch engine (e.g., www.google.com). For best results, enter your author or title using quotation marks, small letters, and no beginning "a/an/the" or preposition (e.g., for In the Heat of the Night, enter "heat of the night"). If you are not sure of the exact wording of (or initials in) an author's name or a title, use the same entry system without quotation marks (e.g., heat of the night).
| Links to Argumentative Readings (6-03) |
The following links lead to short, argumentative essays to which you can respond in writing. As you browse these links, please remember that of their essays have been written by national and internationally recognized scholars while others have been written simply by individuals who wish to post their own opinions on the Internet. You also may find readings by recognized scholars, leaders, and politicians in larger libraries in the following series of books and pamphlets: Opposing Viewpoints, The Reference Shelf, and Current Controversies.
