International Student Friendship Ministries (ISF) is a national Christian organization that seeks to promote friendship, hospitality and personal growth for international students.  We offer a wide range of activities, programs and services for students from all national, ethnic, cultural, and religious backgrounds.

We are a registered student organization at the University of Minnesota.

Who Are We?

We are:
International. We come from Asia, Africa, Europe, Central and South America.  We are Internationals. We are also Americans who wish to develop friendships with Internationals and to assist them while they are in the United States.
Student. Our focus is on international students, scholars, and their spouses. We are a registered student organization at the University of Minnesota but we welcome students from all colleges and vocational schools in the Twin City area. Our American volunteers come from a wide background: from young single students to older married family members. Whether young or old, we believe that learning should be a lifelong process for everyone. We wish to learn from you and we hope we can contribute to your learning.
Friendship. We wish to promote friendship between people of all nationalities and between international students and Americans. Friendship at ISFM can happen by meeting people at one of our International Socials, having a Conversational English Partner, participating in a Home Fellowship or by visiting us during our Campus Fellowship.
Ministry. We are a Christian group. We seek to minister to international students using the resources God has given us. These resources include our time, energy, experience, and relationships. We do this because we wish to share the love that God has poured into our lives. We also believe that God has a special concern for Internationals. We are sorry but ISFM does not provide financial or legal assistance.

Who May Participate?

Our activities and programs are open to international students, scholars, and spouses from all national, ethnic, and religious backgrounds.

We also welcome non-student Internationals and Americans to participate as ISFM Volunteers.
