IAESTE U of MN would like to remind everyone that there's only 4 weeks of school left!!!

IAESTE at the University of Minnesota is a local committee (LC) of the national IAESTE United States Chapter. In addition to helping University of Minnesota student members find internship opportunities abroad, we try to secure internships in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area for international IAESTE members.

IAESTE at the University of Minnesota became an official LC in 2002 with a few enthusiastic members and grew quickly. In 2006 and again in 2008, we had the largest membership of all LCs within IAESTE United States. We look forward to holding onto this title with your help!

Bi-weekly meetings, with a never ending supply of pizza, friendly officers, social events, the opportunity to travel within the United States to Regional Conferences and National Conferences, riveting fundraising events, and the possibility to meet university students from all over the world are only a few opportunities IAESTE at the University of Minnesota can offer you.

In addition to summer internships typically lasting 8-12 weeks, IAESTE also sponsors some short-term programs. These include but are not limited to programs such as:

INNOVATE - A week long conference typically held in multiple Asian countries addressing contemporary issues in globalization.

IMPACT - A summer long technical study emphasizing the recruitment of women in engineering

EMPOWER - which emphasizes engineering by sustainable means.

All these programs provide additional opportunities to understand how technical fields are affected by globalization. More information and additional opportunities can be found at the national website.
